Insulation
We are now offering totally natural insulation as a green alternative to man made products. The insulation that we offer is wood fibre loose infill which has the same insulation and thermal properties as fibre glass insulation, yet is only a fraction of the cost. Our insulation is treated with Boron which is a totally natural flame retardant, anti fungal, natural insecticide and timber preserver. Information regarding the U Values achieved with logs and wood fibre loose infill can be seen on our U Value page.
Treatments
We now produce our own natural oil treatments and preservatives that contain flame retardants (which are also anti fungal and a natural insecticide) and are far superior in preserving and waterproofing your log home or log cabin. These traditional oil treatments have been used by man since man began working with wood and have proven to be the best and most superior treatments in the preservation of timber. These treatments are included in our prices, unlike imported imitation kits where this would be an additional expense.
